Swim Lessons Save Lives.

The Chebeague Recreation Center is working with our young adults to provide training and leadership opportunities with the goal of offering island residents with swim lessons at our outdoor pool.

In 2020, the CRC established a scholarship for lifeguard training.
10 local teens obtained their lifeguard certificates.
And we have a great crew of returning lifeguards to ensure a safe, well-supervised facility.

This year, the CRC is launching our first Swim Instructor Training Program.
All training is under the expert guidance of Coach Carrie Bonneford, Lighthouse Health & Safety.
The Swim Instructor Training Program is being hosted by
Coach Rob Hale at Greeley High School and supported by Yarmouth High School Coach Dave Cox.

Give a Swim Lesson Lobster Dinner is sponsored by WMDaugherty & Co., ensuring that all proceeds will directly support the CRC Swim Safety Programs.
All funds raised will be matched 100%.
